Huh, huh – I’m not sure, whether I’ve mentioned about me taking part into this one project in which we are running a cafe in a school close to my own studying place. Well, now I have. It’s been running before too, but this autumn is my first. The name of it is “Aurinko” (meaning the Sun) and the name derives from the fact that the classrooms are named after planets and other space objects.
And we also do catering as a part of this project. So, yesterday there was this happening/lecture for approximately 100 people and we delivered pullas and coffee there. Too bad, I have no pictures to share from there, but all went fine. It was my first catering ever, so I learned a lot. And still got lot to learn from running this little cafe. So happy to be in this project!
I wish that one day get to also bake all the pullas and breads there myself – and well, that day might not be so far away! Oh yes, and I ought to update a good pulla recipe also here one day, so you get to enjoy that lovely Finnish sweet-baking, too. That will anyway have to wait a while longer, since next week I’ll be putting my sourdough back to work, and make some delicious foccaccia for my studying mates! It’s about time I did that..
Ps. About the picture – I actually had this charity project on the last spring in which I baked about 150 pullas for little chidren. I got them packed into this huge box, and well.. it was a lot of baking, and I would love to do it again!
