Oh, on days like this when you are all dinga-dinga-doo, it’s so great to have a friend. Yes, a friend that you can store in your closet being ready to come out whenever you need him. And so today was one of those, when I let my breadmachine buddy to do the baking for me.
I was actually prepared to make again some focaccia myself, and therefore had quite an amount of sourdough refreshed. Well, being all gaa, I decided to test how my breadmachine would like this tamagotchi then. I removed from the original machine bread recipe equal amount of flour and water replacing it with 100% white leaven – but ended up with a too dry dough, and having noticed this poured some extra water into the baking mold. I think I removed too much of water+flour – or at least didn’t add enough sourdough to match that amount and therefore ended up with quite a small loaf. Well, maybe it’s good so I don’t eat too much.
Another thing is that it’s been a while since I’ve oiled my baking mold, and the bread tends to get stucked into it. And I think the sourdough might have had something to do with that as well. Well, luckily it wasn’t even meant to stay as a whole, so could tear it out right into my mouth. But.. need to fix that recipe for future use.
And all thanks to wikimedia for that toasted bread -frame.
