I did it! Said I would, and for once I did! So, Karelian pasties here they are;
They got a bit burned, guess 300°C was too hot afterall. And the crust doesn’t need to be all that thin – was difficult since it tended to get torn all the time. But all in all – not bad for the first time. Tastes real yummy and soft they are, too! Wanna already make them again, mm.. Here’s another pic;
And yes, next time you’ll get the recipe, too. It’s actually quite good one as it is.
Here’s something extra then – Saturday was a pizza baking day as I had a big bag of left-over ham from the café (went bad on the 20th). Made a yummy use out of it with my baking stone!
Need to see when I got time to post.. tomorrow I’ll make bostonpulla for a little catering on Tuesday, then for Wednesday I should have somekind of little-salty-catering thought for 100 ppl, eek! I’m thinking of sliced baguettes and spreads. It gets even more interesting, since I’ll be in Helsinki as we have the catering, but oh well.. It will go fine!
But yeah – catch you at some point again
