So, this Saturday me and my sister went on the local Christmas market to sell our pigs! It was a nice and a toe-freezing experiment. Surely some more sales would have had made it even better, but I think we did a good job for such a small market! Really thought it would’ve been a bigger thing – had heard a number of 2000 visitors and well, maybe there was 200 ppl showing up.
But yeah, I made 48 piggies and sold 22 – earning myself 120€ and a full freezer. Well, at least got the costs somewhat covered. Next year we just have to go to a bigger market then.. in Turku or Tampere, perhaps? We’ll see, I think there is potential in our piggies..
Here are some pics of the day – special thanks to Carlos for helping me with baking and everything. And great thanks to my sister as well (she sold most of my breads!).
At the moment I’m making 6 more pigs, since I have a little order of them for tomorrow – too bad one can’t use the frozen ones.
