Despite all the pigs I made for the market, I still didn’t get enough of them! Had that order of 6 pigs to fill for Monday, then baked altogether 4 pigs as presents for ppl. Tomorrow I’ll bake 2 pigs and 2 foccacias for another bread order on Monday, and the same amount for Tuesday as well! Oven is on all the time, huh!
The café I run at the school went on Christmas holiday this Friday, got 1kg of left-over ham slices from there.. ..and they were going bad today! And since I’m like this, I couldn’t let them go waste. So I baked 5 pizzas today out of them. (And still got some pancakes to make out of 4 liters of left-over milk.. ..also going bad today!)
But yeah, soon is Christmas! Then I’ll be making gingerbread and other sweet stuff.. ..and no more pigs for a while! Nor café left-overs..
When baking I didn’t brush the suryp-water cover on the top and woah – it was so different than the pig breads! Became like any white bread, just a bit dryer ’cause of the ryeflour being used. Interesting, the cover really does do a different!
