Yes, been resting for a while.. ..having so far only baked a one bread this week! Was a malt bread for the Christmas to go with the Pig breads.
But don’t worry, things might change – I got the Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day – book with me so.. yum yum, more bread shall be baked!
Other yummines I surely have made – for Christmas I prepared two sea-buckthorn sorbets, one gingerbread sorbet, gingerbreads, Finnish x-mas bakings and my favourite Kentuckyan bundt cake.. and today I baked a funny “Cow” cake and over thirty Karelian pasties, mm-m!
Among other things I got a book called German Baking today written by Dr.Oetker as a Chrtistmas present – and today finally had time try it out. As a result, I got a super-yummy chocolate cheesecake! Already named it as the Cow cake, looks like dotty-cow to me.
Next thing I’ll be baking with their recipes shall be Eberswalder piped pastry on the New Year’s Eve. You’ll see those then!
And the “dearest” gift of all! Super-hyper-karealian-pasty-machine! Krhm.. I mean for most of the ppl a pasta-maker-thing. Grandmother makes her pasties with this one, and so I wanted to have my own. And me-oh-my, making those things is so much easier with this! Now just practice, practice, and they’ll get even better.
