And once again.. ..no bread. I’m such a sweet eater, boah. Anyway, I decided to make Buttermilk slices. Took the recipe from the German Baking Today -book from Dr. Oetker.

Got this from Germany and been wanting to use it ever since. Another good option would have been Danube Waves cake, but tjah.. next time, then! This comb worked like magic, even in a round mold.
So here’s the actual cake piece then:
Quite a lot of strawberry sauce with it. Not quite served in the gourmet chef’s way, but oh well – my portion will be gone before I have time to give it a second look.
So yes, the cake was yummy – reminded me of Eastern with the lemon in it. Next time I’ll put more buttermilk and less cream in it, though. I wan’t the buttermilk to stand out, too.
