Humm, guess it’s the time of the week I posted something. Just wanted to wait ’till I’d give brother his present. I wrote him a little book about baking bread with bubbles. It’s a simple recipe – took only 36 pages to jot it down.
The recipe of bread with bubbles bases of course into the focaccia recipe, but I’ve been fixing it so, that it requires no sourdough nor scale to make it. Hope it works out now, interested to see if brother manages to get some bubbles!
Been baking plenty of cakes lately, too. Parents had their wedding anniversary on the weekend, and they ordered a cake for one another. Mother got surprised by a strawberry cake, whereas dad got to enjoy a chocolate one. Made also a chocolate cake for my brother, and in return saw how his wife’s ice-cream-machine prepared us some cool yumminess with caramel!
Oh, and also made myself a funny focaccia with sweetened sourcream on top. Sourcream topping worked out fine, the dough was just lacking some sweetness to balance it. Think next time I go for a topping like that, I ought to put something inside the bread as well.. like cherries, mmm..
