The kitchen has been in use all weekend, ’cause for some reason I suddenly found the inspiration to bake all these bakings I’ve been wanting to bake for a while now. And yes, this means that I didn’t only bake bread with bubbles (just once), but also many other yumminess.
I’m especially happy how my macaron-bakings turned out! I always thought they’d be so complicated to make, but actually it wasn’t that difficult at all. The taste is quite sweet and almondy. These have some apple jam inside:
And macarons weren’t the only French stuff I made, for I also baked my first croissants in Finland. They turned out good, but the pics I took don’t make justice to their real looks.. So, off to the next baking:
It’s Saaristolaisleipä – also dark bread with malt and suryp. The taste was just perfect. This would go so well with some salty, smoked fish, mm.. See this recipe, if you wish to make some (only in Finnish, though). I guess one day I’ll update this bread on my blog, too.
I also baked honeybread with caramel and little pies filled with strawberry – both delicious. Luckily we got to took some of the bakings to my brother, otherwise my freezer would explode (or more like our bellies).
And this one pic was so nice, so I attach it, too. Here’s a basic rich sandwich with a cute chicken egg (Carlos fried it for me).
