I must admit that for the past few years I’ve picked up my Runeberg’s bakings from a bakery, but now that I got someone to share this day with… I made a whole batch of them myself! And so, finally I got the version I really like, the one with bitter almond oil. It’s hard to find Runeberg’s bakings with bitter almond oil from the stores, since many people don’t seem to like its flavor. Oh, but for me – that’s the only right version.
And then I bought some new flour types from the store this week. Trying to learn about this German flour system. They all have a number in them, that describes the amount of minerals in the flour. So, instead of using wheat flour 450 I’ll start using wheat flour 550 in my bread. And then I bought some wholemeal flour and brans to add fibre to my bread. It’s still pretty white, though. Don’t wanna get too healthy here.
