Our apartment has finally been checked and approved by our first visitors as Carlos’s friends dropped by on Sunday. No complaints what-so-ever from that end – they actually seemed to like the place – so I guess I dare to publish some pics of our project for the whole world to see. Mostly this post goes for my sister, though, for she is into designing. Well, I tell you what – our home is pretty much like an IKEA showroom, so if one finds anything interesting, it surely is globally available.
We mostly used the furniture from the “Rumkugeln” serie, for it’s so full of pieces to choose from. Tjah, actually “Rumkugeln” if my pronunciation of the German “Fundgrube” – the treasure-trove of IKEA. It surely has been full of treasures for us, so can’t help recommending the “Rumkugeln” section. I think our best find was the smooth, shiny, white wooden board, that made the best kitchen table top for 8€. It’s amazing to work on, though originally it’s meant to be a closet door…
Also got my oven installed and it’s working superb. First thing I ended up baking was onion bread, and today made some hamburger rolls. So far so good, I think we’ll be good friends.
Ps. Thirsty for closer details of the apartment? Dying to experience the rest? For more rooms and designs visit us in Germany. The address will be handed out at request.
