Happy midsummer! We celebrated by picking up flowers. A small ritual, it’s supposed to work so, that when I collect seven different flowers and place them under my pillow I’ll dream of my future husband. Well, my future husband picked up the flowers for me. And I dreamt of nothing. Guess that works as well.
The thing is, Midsummer is nothing that special here in Germany. What’s more special is the ending of the school year in our region. That means, the summer begins now. Only now?! I guess I skipped the whole summer then, ’cause for me Midsummer has always been somewhat a sign that autumn is on it’s way, too. So, summer begins and ends this weekend, I better enjoy it.
And I have, for the sun is finally burning us, too. Spite spending lots of time outside, I’ve also managed to bake quite an amount of stuff.. I mean, since last week, I’ve made a tosca cake, macarons, 100% sourdough bread, focaccia, cheesecake, chocolate cookies, marshmallow, pizzas and croissants. I guess it’s because of my Bosch, that baking runs even smoother these days. By now it’s abilities have been tested pretty throughout, and I’m very happy with it. Thanks again, mom!
Oh, and here some pictures, that my camera has gathered.
Think tomorrow I’ll keep a break from baking, gonna take Carlos hiking somewhere.
